I realize that I'm very late in announcing this, but Matt Wilson and I will be promoting Scrooge and Santa at the Long Beach Comic Con (10/29-31). Arcana (publisher) will have a booth (#406) where Matt and I will be part of a small team running it. We will be passing out small candy canes like these to help promote our graphic novel.
If you can come to this Con, please stop by the booth and say "HI". Love to see any of you!
(Don't forget, you can order your copy of Scrooge and Santa at Urban Collector.)
As of today, we have been married six years. In keeping with our annual anniversary pumpkin carving tradition, we designed and carved this lovely jack-o-lantern. Nothing says, “Happy Anniversary!” like gutting a big orange gourd, stabbing it repeatedly with a sharp object, and then filling it with fire. Here’s to six wonderful years!
Been reading G.K. Chesterton's book of "What's Wrong With The World", and made a quick doodle of the old dude last night. That lead to a short comic: It's a reference to the to the "Dedication" in the book. It's meant to be a kind of "drop your monocle" joke, but I don't know if it's actually funny. CLICK HERE to check out the dedication and the entire book.
Here's a version without the explanation for you Chesterton Fans (Chestertonians).
My good friend Ethan Nicholle is the co-creator (along with his kid brother) of the successful webcomic, Axe Cop. Ethan was nice enough to let me draw a guest comic for this great series. Matt Wilson wrote the comic and as a result it became a semi-promo for Scrooge and Santa. You can view our guest comic on the site by clicking on the icon below.
Ethan wrote a nice intro for our guest strip on the main page (at least while it's still up).
